In this paper the case studies of transcription in two projects are presented– “The Chronicle of Matthew of Edessa Online” and “A digital critical edition of “Ałhvesagirk”, led by the same group of scholars. Three main periods of the process are considered – pre-transcription period, transcription and post-transcription period. Even though will talk about the main features of the first two periods as well, the main focus of this paper is on the post-transcription period and how to prepare the transcribed text for collation
